Description
In conjunction with picric acid, in a Van Gieson type procedure, this dye demonstrates collagen and reticulin.
It is chemically very similar to Napthalene blue black CS, a dye recommended by Lendrum for the demonstration of the oldest fibrin but which is now difficult to obtain. Amido black 10B may be suitable as a substitute.
